New business interested in locating to Gonave.

I first want to say, I appreciate all the interest in Gonave, and our team at Let's Build Gonave, Haiti, have put on a strong force to show the world Gonave.  While we haven't put a large amount of resources to Gonave yet, we have been doing a large amount of behind the scenes work, and also working with Haitian officials before anything can take place. I also appreciate all the new folks who subscribe to our Google + page, which allows them to get updates instantly when we create a new blog post.  Also those who have went to the Gonave Government Portal , I appreciate you as well.  In fact most of the business inquiries have come from companies that visit that web page.  I was contacted a few days ago from a company called " Coffee Cubes Limited ".  Their idea is to put up coffee shops where folks on the go can either drive up or walk up.  Their business model is very simple.  They get these small storage units that have windows in them, and serv...

Slight Blog name change / Ti tay Blog chanje non

Due to a large response from people all over the world about wanting to know more about Haiti and Gonave, I decided it was time to change the name of the blog slightly to Let's Build Gonave, Haiti vs Let's Build Haiti.  The change is needed for many reasons, one being foreign investment, tourism, and even volunteers.  Their focus was on our page, and the assumption was Gonave was a city in Haiti.  We had to inform many that it is an island with about 80-100,000 people. The change will go into effect on this blog site immediately.  Gonave TV, will still stay the same, and the Gonave Government Portal will still stay the say. Things are slowly changing, and it is starting with administrative stuff first. Go Gonave! ------------------ Akòz yon repons gwo nan men moun nan tout mond lan sou vle konnen plis bagay sou Ayiti ak Gonave , mwen deside li te tan chanje non sa a nan blog la yon ti kras Se pou nou bati Gonave , Ayiti vs Ann bati A...

Blogs in Haitian Creole/Blogs nan kreyòl ayisyen

Because this is a site about Haiti and Gonave, Creole is the lanugage many understand.  If you noticed, many of the latest blogs have the English version and then the Creole version. Understand I'm not Haitian nor do I know Creole.  I use a translator program to convert from English to Creole. So if you notice anything that is incorrect or not accurate word structure, please accept my apologies. The website Gonave Government Portal also has been updated to where you will see English and Creole instantly, vs having to select the language from a drop down. Stay tune to more updates! Go Gonave!

Gonave Government Portal

Don't forget to check out the latest updates on the Gonave Government Portal .  I have did a few more updates, with more to follow.  There is some big news that will be coming out soon, so stay tuned to the website as well as this blog.  I would strongly advise signing up for the newsletter on the Gonave Government Portal.  Some information will be updated and posted there, that may not be on the blog, and vice versa. Go Gonave!

Gonave Government Portal Update

Work is still progressing on the Gonave Government Portal .  You can see the updates here http://gonavegovernment.webs.com/ .  Somethings have been streamlined to make the page function a little better. Visitors will now be able to see the local time, and temperature in the region.  There are three currently inactive buttons that are mainly for residents of Gonave.  These buttons are: Housing, Health & Medical Services, and Employment. The layout of the page is different as well.  There is a column on the left of the page, along with a top picture banner, and a label bar which still has the Home page, Contact Us, and Focus City. The left column, which was mentioned before, is for News Updates, current time and temperature.   The Let's Build Haiti button, and Gonave Newsletter are still on the page and both of these items are active. The site is a work in progress, look for additional changes in the future.

Web Page Update

The Gonave Government web page will be updated this week, as promised.  First off I change the name, from Democratic Republic of Gonave, to the Gonave Government Portal.  This change I will explain later, but felt it was needed to be updated immediately.  With respect to the Gonave Government Portal, I will have a few things that will be deleted, and also change the overall flow of the site.  It will be a work in progress, as the page will be done incrementally. I also will have a few more blog updates that will also be in Google + and Facebook on next steps and ideas moving forward with people in Gonave.  Since I was on vacation for a week, I couldn't tend to these different sites as I wanted to.  While on vacation I had a few thoughts on how to change the site, and just a totally different view of what could be better for Gonave and it's people. Till then, keep checking the web page for updates.
